Welcome to Anshada.  

My Name is Gillian Mc Bride. I have a small kennel of 8 golden retrievers in Lisburn N. Ireland where I live with my three children, Sheena, and twins David and Andrew.

First and foremost our goldens are very much loved pets and part of our family.

  My love affair with the breed started when I purchased my first golden in 1991 - Ancella Pearl -  Otherwise  known as Jasmine.

She was sired by Kate  Crosbie's  Ir Sh Ch Lislone Kallum.  

I showed Jasmine with some success  with encouragement from Kate and Jim. Kate showed me how to trim her and teach her to stand and all that was involved in the show ring. I was hooked.

In 1996  I applied for and was granted the affix of ANSHADA. This was derived from my children's names.

There are now Anshada goldens in England, Germany,Cyprus,and America as well as N. Ireland.

During 2004 owing to home commitments and Marnie being on maternity leave I have only attended  a few shows. I hope to show more extensively in 2005.

My dogs are bred for temperament, type and soundness.
